Food Kit

Heavy rain and lockdown have affected some of our AIM students’ families. Making arrangements for daily bread is a herculean task for those families. Some of our families were living in high-risk zones. It surely will bring immense relief and satisfaction to those families by arranging a kit of essentials as a hand of support. Providing essential food items means a lot to those families with the single-parent, father or mother who has lost their job during the lockdown, parents who themselves are aged or disabled, families who have spent their entire savings during the lockdown, parents with daily wages job, families of our students affected by flood and families who are living in coastal areas are affected by heavy rain and cyclone.

· In the month of August 2019, Kerala has undergone a heavy flood. Most of the people were devastated and struggled. AIM well-wishers extended the helping hand by providing groceries, stationery items of 25000/-INR.

· With contributions pouring into our AIM Families in the crisis during the Covid-19 shutdown, several well-wishers and AIM Chapters contributed to providing groceries, stationery, and financial aid to the needy.

· On 9-15th June 2021, AIM staff handed over the food kit at the doorstep of our families with all safety precautions.

· As a second phase in the month of June 2021, due to restrictions in traveling, few families were given financial aid equivalent to the food kit.

· Also, in May 2020 a special lockdown support was given to families of 130 students who were facing a very difficult situation.

The feedback from the families was really heart-touching as many were struggling on those days. In the coming days also, we would like to continue this initiative to many more. Extend your helping hand to reach many deserving families.
